36.4 Week Update

Most of you know, I don't cry...like it's really rare. This pregnancy I might have cried once, well I cried yesterday...this song came on the radio and wow the flood gates.

Will probably won't listen to it, I've sent him the link...then I sent him the lyrics only so maybe he'll read them at least. But he knows if it made me cry, he will definitely cry.

In other news I had a check up today. I've gained 1.6 lbs in 5 days, that seems like a lot in a little time to me, but really I don't care...it's just a number...at most appointments Will falls asleep almost immediately, today no different.

So no wonder when she walked in and said wow baby is really low, you're very thinned out, and about a fingertip dilated...let's go ahead and schedule an induction date, even though I think she will be here before that...Will's eyes were huge, like um what just happened?

So If Jenna is not here prior to 9/4 I will be induced that day! My options were 9/4 or 9/8...Will already knew there is a full moon 9/8 or 9/9? so I chose the other day! I don't want to show up at a packed hospital.

Doctor also asked me when my last day of work was...I told her I didn't have one. She suggested 38 weeks, I bluntly said nooooo. Our first day of school is 38.2. I plan to be there! She said it's fine as long as I feel okay. I imagine I won't but am a workaholic and possibly a control freak.

Is there a way to make this photo correct? I'm not that smart!

We also went to the pediatrician's office and met her. I think we liked her enough. This whole week has been like this, like woah nelly this is real, this is happening, and this is happening soon. We really are ready, we have everything you could ever imagine we just need her now!

Beginnings are scary...so are endings

I've had all these positive posts. All these happy times. But now as the end is approaching, it's scary again.

This quote came to mind...it doesn't really work, but I kept thinking the middles are easy. Which really now that I type this they aren't, 20 weeks can be scary too.

From Hope Floats--Birdie says this:
She says that beginnings are scary,
endings are usually sad,
but it's the middle that counts the most.
Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning.
Just give hope a chance to float up.
And it will, too...

I don't feel Jenna move as much now. It's tight quarters, and I'm just tying to keep telling myself that fact. Today she was quiet. I even talked to her asking her to move.

Then one of my students that I've seen twice a week all summer arrived for tutoring. Her dog, Jack, is with her every time. Today he got out the car and wouldn't leave my side. It was very weird. He wouldn't listen to his owner and get back in the car. Jack is a therapy dog and does things like that when something is going to happen to the person. Mom said maybe that baby is coming sooner than later. Of course I think the worst, maybe she isn't alive. (This next sentence sounds really stupid or maybe even laughable, but I'm really serious) Maybe I killed her with my Caesar dressing this week, or that sandwich meat I just "had" to have...for the rest of the day I've been a little worried, but trying to push those thoughts aside.

I just drank some OJ, laid on my left side and was able to get 10 kicks fairly quickly. That eases the mind.

35 Weeks!

It just got real today. I could see it on Will's face! I asked if he was okay, he said he was just thinking about how much time he has to take off work. I told him he didn't have to come. He responded um no, I have perfect attendance so far, I'm not missing. I thought that was funny.

We made the rest of our appointments, which are every week!! Starting next week I will have a cervical check each time. Woah nelly.

Honeydew or Cantalope!

Also I watched Three Men and a Baby  Thursday night...I'm pretty sure Will watched the whole thing while acting like he was on his laptop. We went to bed, I said Goodnight and he began singing "goodnight sweetheart, well it's
time to go...." Hahahaha💟

Nursery is coming along!

It's coming together...I love it, it's the nicest room in the house!

The chandelier is the most recent addition, it's from my grandmother's house. I just love it. Will's expression was priceless when he walked back into the room after turning the breaker back on...I think he blushed...holy cow this is sooooo girly.

Columbia Baby Shower

I also got much love from my cousins Molly and Suzy. They hosted a baby shower for me in Columbia. I was able to celebrate with some family, most of my BFFs, and most of Mom's BFFs.
Our Grandmas

A little disturbing, especially the size of her nipples!

Surprise Baby Shower

I live on the best street ever. My neighbors gave me a surprise shower! I thought I was attending a kitchen/tupperware type party, brought my credit card and all. My mom just happened to be here, so when I got there I called her and said stop running errands and don't bring us lunch, come over here!

Nursery Update

So far painted the frame white and the initials very pale pink. I will update soon.

Lined the drawers and now they are full with clothes and ready for Jenna!

Look what paint and hardware will do!

Babymoon

We had a wonderful long weekend recently in Florida. Here are some pictures!

Remote control hurricane shutters, it's like a movie you can sleep so much better when it's dark!

There were about four of us on the beach for as far as the eye could see! We saw two manatees playing in the surf, they looked like walruses minus the tusks.

Don't fret there are bathing suit bottoms down there somewhere!

Tying Shoes

I always tell Will that he can't get so big that I have to put his shoes on him. In the powerlifting world this is a real problem.

Well I've learned in the pregnancy world it's a problem too!

Do you see how the ties are in the middle? Two reasons, either I slip them on and don't re-tie them or that's as close to my hands as I can get my feet! Never thought tying shoes would be a challenge!

6 Pack

I was shocked when I woke up recently and Will had

1. posted a selfie on FB
2. of his abs....

I figured two things it MUST be a slow day at the gym and he's having a mid life breakdown since he's <80 days from becoming a dad!

I promptly decided I should comment under his post with this picture! As Emily said Will is getting even more fit and I'm growing a watermelon!

27 Weeks

Cheers to 27 weeks pregnant! I had my glucose test this morning. The drink wasn't nearly bad as everyone made it seem. Only a few steps away from how I like my sweet tea!

I didn't feel wonderful after about 50 minutes but within a few hours was good.

I assume I will know tomorrow if I failed or passed.

This was like the end of 26 weeks but I hadn't worn this top in months, woah nelly...there is a belly!

I have a complex that I'm big. People make comments about my size and lead me to believe my belly is bigger than it should be...so I am always comparing myself to others due in Sept. Mine is bigger, at least I think.

Will and I attended a breast feeding class last week. Not a lot of new info, my friends have taught me most of it :)
I was so worried (he was not worried at all-didn't care) about him being the only guy, but he wasn't, there were plenty!

I feel good, I still have a lot of energy...I feel like I need to take advantage of it. It's summer break and not going to work is fabulous! My mama visited me recently and we got bored with a rainy day so we began washing newborn and 0-3 month hand me downs. That was like woah, this is real💟
